Mr. Keith Boehlke

   Mr. Boehlke was born in Carroll, Iowa, to Rev. Melvin and Audrey Boehlke. About three years later Pastor Boehlke joined the Air Force. Due to this decision, Mr. Keith Boehlke attended Kingsbury Hill House School in England for forms 1, 3, and 4. Returning to America, he continued his formal education. He was a student at Concordia Teachers' College in Seward, Nebraska, graduating with a major in theology and two minors, one in Sociology and one in Art. He received his Masters Degree in 1988 from Lesley College, Cambridge, Massachusetts. After serving in Lutheran schools throughout the Midwest and Texas, the Holy Spirit called Mr. Boehlke to serve God's people at Trinity Lutheran School in Hobart, Indiana. Teaching departmentalized science, art, and literature in the middle school grades, and carrying out administrative duties in the principal's office fill his working days. 


                                              Reverend Gary Nagy

     Gary Nagy was born in Cleveland, Ohio, the only child of Steve and Irene Nagy. He grew up in various cities on the East Coast while his father served in the United States Coast guard. After graduating from Concordia Senior College in Fort Wayne with a Bachelor of Arts degree, he attended Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. Further training and education included a vicarage at St. Paul, Royal Oak, Michigan, and graduating from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne with a Master of Divinity Degree. He was assigned to Trinity as an assistant pastor in 1979, and became the Senior Pastor Eighteen months later. By the grace of God, Pastor Nagy continues to serve as the spiritual leader and teacher of Trinity Lutheran Church and School.


Mrs. Judy Nagy                

 Judy (Sauers) Nagy was born in Highland Park, Michigan, and grew up in Ferndale, Michigan. After high school graduation, Judy worked as an Executive Secretary in the insurance industry and for a local school district. Her most memorable job was working as a Program Coordinator for the Detroit Chamber of Commerce where she met and worked with many local politicians and celebrities.

In October of 1981, Judy married the Reverend Gary Nagy and moved to Hobart, Indiana. After working in their home and helping to raise their two daughters, Jennifer and Amanda, Judy accepted the Early Childhood Teacher Aide position at Trinity Lutheran School in 1993. Over a ten-year span, she also taught Sunday School, led a Women's Home Bible Study group, and served as a substitute teacher. In 2003, she enrolled part-time at Purdue University - Calumet where she is currently pursuing her teaching degree in Early Childhood. In 2004, she was asked to serve as the Preschool/Pre-K/Kindergarten Teacher.

Currently, Judy is teaching the morning and afternoon Preschool and Pre-K classes. She feels very blessed to serve God by teaching His little ones about Jesus and His great love for them. 


                                                 Mrs. Ruth Jelneck

     Mrs. Jelneck was born in Saginaw, Michigan, to Henry and Laura Seidel.   After graduating from Douglas Macarthur High School in 1970, Mrs. Jelneck strove towards her goal of a college education by attending Concordia College, St. Paul, Minnesota, earning a Bachelor's Degree in education with a minor in music. During the next ten years she devoted her time to teaching, a ministry of church music, and earning a major in Religious Studies from Concordia College, Ann Arbor, Michigan. In the summer of 1984, The Holy Spirit called Mrs. Jelneck into ministry at Trinity Lutheran Church and School in Hobart, Indiana. While teaching at Trinity, she earned a Master of Music Degree from Valparaiso University in 1990. Serving as Director of Music, instructor in the school computer lab, supervising grades 5 and 6 homeroom, and teaching music education in the middle school grades provide her abundant opportunities to serve God and His people of every age.


Mrs. Janice Slach                                 

Mrs. Janice Slach joined the staff of Trinity in August of 2006. She graduated in 2005 from Purdue University Calumet with a Bachelor of Arts degree. Mrs. Slack loves teaching younger students, and has worked with kindergarten students at a learning center. Family members include an older brother who is a mechanical engineer, her dad who is retired from the mill, her mom who is an accountant at Blue Chip Casino, and the baby of the family, her dog Oreo.  Husband Tim attended TLS for nine years, and is a structural designer, working in Chicago. (He was Mrs. Slach's high school sweetheart.) Mrs. Slach is a lifelong resident of Hobart, Indiana

Mrs. Slach is excited to be teaching kindergarten at Trinity Lutheran School. She looks forward to watching students learn and grow. In addition, she wants her students to achieve great things in school and outside of school. Her goal is for students to feel good about coming to school to learn.


Mrs. Cindy Toth                                        

     Mrs. Cindy Toth teaches first and second grades at Trinity Lutheran School. She is inspired by the natural curiosity and enthusiasm that young people bring to the classroom. She strives to create an exciting learning environment that meets the needs of all students as they grow in their faith, discover God's creation, and learn to read and write. She works to foster an "I Can" attitude in students, helping them to establish positive lifelong learning skills as they discover their God-given gifts and talents.

     Mrs. Toth received her bachelor's degree from Indiana University in 1975 and her Montessori teacher certification in 1977. She completed her Colloquy at Concordia University in River Forest, Illinois, in 2002. In 2006, she completed all course work for her Indiana state teaching license.

   Mrs. Toth is a lifelong resident of Northwest Indiana. Earlier in her career she taught a one-year internship at Calumet Region Montessori School. She felt God's calling to return to teaching in 1999 when she began teaching at Trinity. She has taught in grades 3 and 4 prior to teaching first and second grades. She feels it is a blessing and a privilege to share God's love with His little ones at Trinity.
